Banqueting Supervisor – Luxury Hotel – Umhlanga
Our client is recruiting three Banqueting Supervisors for a busy luxury hotel in Umhlanga.
We are looking for hands-on hospitality professionals who can supervise conference and function set-ups, coordinate service teams and ensure events are delivered efficiently and professionally.
Description:
- Supervise banqueting functions and events
- Coordinate function set-ups and breakdowns
- Allocate duties to banqueting staff
- Check function requirements before service
- Ensure venues are prepared according to requirements
- Supervise food and beverage service
- Liaise with Kitchen, Food & Beverage and Events teams
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation standards
- Assist with guest and client requests
- Support staff training and service standards
- Ensure efficient service throughout functions
Requirements:
- Previous banqueting or events experience
- Supervisory experience strongly preferred
- Hotel or busy hospitality experience advantageous
- Strong service and operational knowledge
- Confident team leadership
- Excellent communication skills
- Professional presentation
- Able to work under pressure
- Flexible to work evenings, weekends and public holidays
Salary & Benefits
- Salary: R8,000 per month
