Lodge Manager | Luxury Eastern Cape Safari Lodge | LV

Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Lodge Manager for a luxury safari lodge in the Eastern Cape.

The Lodge Manager will oversee the day-to-day operation of the lodge, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, smooth coordination between departments and consistently high service standards. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who is confident managing people, operations and guest relations in a luxury lodge environment.

Key responsibilities:

Oversee the daily operations of the lodge, including accommodation, food and beverage, dining, guest services and activities

Lead, supervise and support lodge staff, including training, scheduling and performance management

Ensure consistently high levels of guest satisfaction and personalised service

Handle guest queries, concerns and feedback professionally and efficiently

Maintain excellent standards throughout guest suites, public areas and operational departments

Ensure health and safety procedures and standards are adhered to

Work closely with all departments to ensure smooth communication and service delivery

Assist across departments where required

Maintain strong attention to detail throughout the guest journey

Support efficient use of resources and operational cost awareness

Keep up to date with relevant hospitality trends, regulations and best practices

Requirements:

Approximately 5 years’ experience in a similar lodge management role within a safari or luxury hospitality environment

Proven leadership and people-management experience

Strong knowledge of lodge operations across multiple departments

Excellent food and beverage and service knowledge

Strong guest-relations and interpersonal skills

A positive, energetic and caring approach

A hands-on attitude and willingness to assist wherever required

Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities

Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure

Strong computer skills, including Windows, Microsoft Office and Excel

Experience with Res

Request and Sage POS advantageous

An understanding of wildlife conservation and sustainable lodge practices

Excellent spoken and written English

Valid driver’s licence

Must be confident driving a manual vehicle

Package:

R24,000 per month, negotiable depending on experience, together with live-in accommodation and company benefits.
