Maintenance Handyman – Luxury Hotel – Durban
Our client is seeking two practical and reliable Maintenance Handymen to join the maintenance team at a luxury hotel in Durban.
These are hands-on positions for individuals with good general property-maintenance skills who can assist with repairs and preventative maintenance across guest and operational areas.
Description:
- Carry out general hotel maintenance and repairs
- Assist with basic plumbing repairs
- Assist with minor electrical work within level of competence
- Complete painting and patching
- Assist with carpentry and furniture repairs
- Repair doors, locks, fittings and fixtures
- Attend to maintenance requests from hotel departments
- Assist with preventative maintenance
- Inspect equipment and report faults
- Maintain tools and work areas
- Respond promptly to urgent maintenance requirements
- Support the wider maintenance team as required
Requirements:
- Previous handyman or general maintenance experience
- Hotel, commercial property or hospitality maintenance advantageous
- Practical knowledge of general repairs
- Basic plumbing, electrical, painting and carpentry knowledge advantageous
- Physically fit and comfortable with hands-on work
- Reliable and hardworking
- Good problem-solving ability
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible regarding hospitality working hours
Salary & Benefits
