About the Opportunity

Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced Touring Financial Accountant to join a prestigious luxury lodge collection, with the position based in Johannesburg, Gauteng and travel to lodge operations as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the financial accounting functions across the relevant lodge operations
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and record-keeping
• Prepare and review management accounts and financial reports
• Monitor budgets, expenditure and financial performance
• Manage reconciliations, cash flow and financial controls
• Assist with month-end and year-end accounting processes
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards
• Work closely with operational management to provide financial insight and support
• Identify discrepancies and implement appropriate corrective measures
• Support continuous improvement of financial processes and controls

Key Requirements

• Proven experience in a Financial Accountant or similar accounting role
• Previous experience within the hospitality, lodge or tourism sector would be advantageous
• Strong understanding of financial accounting and reporting
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Sound knowledge of accounting principles and financial controls
• Strong organisational and time-management abilities
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with operational teams
• Professional and highly confidential approach
• Relevant accounting qualification would be advantageous

Package

• Salary: R40,000 per month, negotiable depending on experience
• Live-out position
