Accommodation Maintenance Manager – Hotel – Johannesburg South
A well-established 4-star hotel is seeking an experienced and hands-on Hotel Accommodation Maintenance Manager to oversee all maintenance and engineering activities relating to hotel rooms, guest accommodation areas, corridors, and associated guest-facing infrastructure.
This role is responsible for ensuring all accommodation facilities are maintained to the highest standard, remain fully operational, safe, compliant, and support an exceptional guest experience.
Salary: R30,000 per month
Description:
- Manage all room maintenance, guest accommodation areas, corridors, and associated infrastructure
- Implement preventative and reactive maintenance programmes
- Ensure high room availability and minimal downtime
- Lead and develop the maintenance team
- Manage maintenance budgets and control costs
- Coordinate contractors and service providers
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and statutory requirements
- Monitor maintenance response times and service standards
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and reporting systems
- Support the delivery of exceptional guest experiences through proactive maintenance management
Requirements:
- Management Certificate
- Minimum of four N3 Technical NQF Level Certificates
- At least 5 years’ experience as a Maintenance Manager or Supervisor within a hospitality environment
- Extensive experience with:
- Plumbing and water systems
- Sewerage treatment systems
- Water treatment and desalination plants
- Electrical maintenance (light current)
- Refrigeration systems
- General building maintenance
- Experience managing maintenance teams, contractors, and suppliers
- Strong budgeting and cost control experience
- Familiarity with maintenance management systems such as Monday.com and MS Teams
