Our client is seeking a passionate and hardworking Chef de Partie to join the culinary team at a luxury safari lodge in the Hoedspruit / Greater Kruger area.

This is an excellent live-in opportunity for a developing chef who wants to build experience within a professional luxury lodge kitchen.

Description:

• Prepare and cook dishes according to established recipes and standards
• Manage mise en place for allocated sections
• Maintain excellent food presentation and portion standards
• Support the Sous Chef and senior culinary team during service
• Ensure ingredients are stored, labelled and rotated correctly
• Follow FIFO procedures
• Assist with stock control and minimise food waste
• Maintain clean and organised workstations
• Follow food safety and hygiene requirements
• Assist with dietary requirements and special guest requests
• Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen team

Requirements:

• Previous professional kitchen experience
• Culinary qualification advantageous
• Previous Chef de Partie, Demi Chef de Partie or strong Commis Chef experience advantageous
• Good basic cooking and food-preparation skills
• Understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety
• Strong attention to detail
• Willingness to learn and develop
• Reliable, hardworking and team focused
• Able to work under pressure
• Comfortable living and working within a safari lodge environment
• Flexible regarding hospitality working hours
