About the Opportunity

Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Handyman to join a luxury wine estate in Franschhoek. This is an excellent opportunity for a practical and hardworking individual with general maintenance experience to assist in ensuring the property, equipment and facilities are maintained to the highest standards.

Key Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in general maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning and/or heat pump repairs.
• Previous maintenance experience within a hotel, wine estate or hospitality property will be advantageous.
• Matric certificate required.
• Technical qualification in Facilities, Maintenance, Engineering or a related field will be advantageous.
• Basic electrical and hand tool knowledge is essential.
• Good understanding of safe working procedures when using electrical tools and equipment.
• Practical experience with general handyman duties, including plumbing, basic electrical work, carpentry, painting and building repairs.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment faults and carry out general repairs.
• Reliable, proactive and able to work independently.
• Strong organisational skills with good attention to detail.
• Valid driver's licence will be advantageous.
• Preference will be given to candidates residing in Franschhoek or surrounding areas.

Package

• Salary: R8,500 – R9,250 per month, negotiable depending on experience.
• Live-Out position.
