Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced and committed couple to join a prestigious luxury game lodge in the Sabi Sands. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional couple who share a passion for luxury safari hospitality, guest experiences and the African bush.📍 Location: Sabi Sands, Mpumalanga💼 Positions: Relief Manager & Field Guide🏕 Property: Luxury Game Lodge💰 Relief Manager: Maximum cash salary of R24,000 per month💰 Field Guide: Market-related, based on FGASA level\POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

• The Relief Manager will support the lodge management team and ensure smooth day-to-day lodge operations in the absence of senior management.
• Assist with overseeing guest services, staff performance and operational standards.
• Maintain high levels of service and ensure the lodge consistently meets luxury hospitality expectations.
• Assist with staff coordination, administration and general lodge management duties.
• Handle guest queries and requests professionally, ensuring a personalised guest experience.
• The Field Guide will conduct exciting and informative game drives and bush experiences for lodge guests.
• Provide engaging interpretation of the wildlife, environment and surrounding ecosystem.
• Ensure all activities are conducted safely and professionally.
• Assist with maintaining a high standard of guest interaction and overall safari experience.
• Both individuals will be expected to work collaboratively with the wider lodge team and contribute positively to the property’s overall operation.

REQUIREMENTS – RELIEF MANAGER

• Previous lodge management or supervisory experience within a luxury hospitality environment.
• Strong operational and organisational skills.
• Excellent guest relations and communication abilities.
• Confident leadership skills and the ability to manage and motivate a team.
• A hands-on approach with strong attention to detail.
• Previous experience in a safari lodge environment will be advantageous.
• Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.

REQUIREMENTS – FIELD GUIDE

• Valid FGASA qualification at an appropriate level for the position.
• Previous guiding experience within a luxury safari environment.
• Strong knowledge of African wildlife, ecology and the surrounding bush.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills.
• Passionate about conservation and creating memorable guest experiences.
• Professional, enthusiastic and safety-conscious approach.
• Valid guiding and first aid qualifications as required.

COUPLE REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience working together within a lodge or hospitality environment will be advantageous.
• Both candidates must be professional, flexible and team-oriented.
• A genuine passion for luxury safari hospitality and guest service.
• The ability to work well independently as well as part of a larger team.
• Both individuals must be willing to live and work in a remote lodge environment.
