About the Opportunity

Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a mature, experienced and highly motivated Reservationist to join a luxury safari lodge on a full-time remote basis. This is a key revenue-generating role requiring someone who takes ownership of their responsibilities, understands the luxury safari guest journey and is driven to maximise occupancy and revenue.

The successful candidate must be disciplined, reliable and fully available during working hours, with the ability to work independently from a professional and dependable home-office environment.

Key Requirements

• Mid-level reservations experience within the safari industry is essential.
• Previous luxury lodge reservations experience strongly preferred.
• Experience using Nights

Bridge and similar PMS / channel management systems.

• Strong understanding of reservations, occupancy and revenue optimisation.
• Experience managing bookings from initial enquiry through to confirmation.
• Confident handling guest and travel agent enquiries via email, Whats

App and telephone.

• Experience with provisional booking follow-ups, payments and booking administration.
• Strong guest profiling and accurate reservations data capturing skills.
• Experience with payment reconciliations and agent credit accounts advantageous.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
• Experience working with online OT

• Tech-savvy with excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent written and spoken English; Afrikaans or additional languages advantageous.
• Professional email and telephone etiquette.
• Highly organised with the ability to multitask in a busy reservations environment.
• Mature, self-motivated and able to work effectively without supervision.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a genuine passion for luxury safari hospitality.

Remote Working Requirements

• Full-time remote position – Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00.
• Saturday morning email checks for urgent matters between 08:00–12:00.
• Alternating weekend telephone standby required.
• Reliable, stable home internet connection essential.
• Reliable mobile phone reception essential.
• Candidate must have a suitable plan to remain connected during power or internet interruptions.
• Johannesburg-based candidates preferred, but not essential.
• Laptop and phone provided.

Package

• Salary: R15,000 – R18,000 per month, negotiable depending on experience.
• Remote position.
• Start Date: As soon as possible / October 2026.
