Safari JOBS is searching for an experienced and enthusiastic Reservations Consultant to join a well-established hospitality and safari portfolio, with the position based in Johannesburg’s northern suburbs. This is a fantastic opportunity for a reservations professional who loves the hospitality and safari industry and enjoys working with a diverse collection of properties, products and guest experiences. The successful candidate will become an important part of a busy reservations team, managing bookings across a portfolio of properties and ensuring that every enquiry is handled with accuracy, efficiency and genuine care – from the initial point of contact through to confirmation, invoicing, payment and final booking arrangements. Our client is looking for someone who understands that excellent reservations service is about far more than simply processing a booking. It requires a strong understanding of the product being sold, accommodation rates and activities, careful attention to detail, excellent communication and the ability to anticipate both guest and operational requirements. The ideal candidate will bring solid hospitality industry experience together with a proven background in customer service and guest relations. They should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, able to remain calm and organised under pressure, and confident in finding practical and creative solutions when challenges arise. A warm and professional telephone and email manner, strong written and verbal communication skills and good administrative ability will be essential. Proven background in customer relations and delivering exceptional service.

Basic computer literacy; familiarity with e-Res (HTI) and Nights

Communicate clearly and consistently with clients regarding their reservations.

Manage bookings accurately from initial inquiry through to confirmation, invoicing, and payment processing.

Respond promptly and professionally to telephonic, electronic, and written inquiries.

Follow up on all reservations in a timely and efficient manner.

Assist with managing bookings for all properties within the portfolio.

Provide support to the reservations team wherever needed.
