Snr Accountant - Wine

SENIOR ACCOUNTANT | WINELANDS

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Accountant to join a prestigious luxury hospitality and wine operation in the Cape Winelands.

We are looking for a hands-on, detail-driven finance professional who can support the Financial Manager and wider Finance Team, with strong exposure to wine costing, stock, debtors, creditors and financial administration.

Key responsibilities include:

Wine costing, manufacturing and sales analysis

SAWIS and excise administration and monthly submissions

Cash book, petty cash and daily cash-up reconciliations

General ledger and journal entries

Local & foreign debtors and creditors

International payments, FX differences and revaluations

Stock administration and monthly stock takes

Fixed Asset Register maintenance

Insurance administration and claims

Assistance with the annual audit

Requirements:

B

Com Accounting or similar qualification

SAIPA articles advantageous3+ years' experience in the wine industry preferred

Strong Microsoft Office skills

Sage Evolution 200 or similar accounting package experience

Easipos exposure advantageous

Fluent in English and Afrikaans

Excellent organisational and analytical skills

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability

Accountable, flexible and able to take ownership

Professional relationship-building skills across departments
