Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an Anchor / Field Guide Couple to join a safari operation situated within the beautiful Manyoni Private Game Reserve, Kwa

Zulu-Natal.

This is an exciting opportunity for an established couple who are passionate about the safari industry and enjoy creating warm, personalised and memorable guest experiences. The successful couple will work closely with the wider lodge team, with one partner focusing primarily on guiding and the other supporting the guest experience and day-to-day lodge operation.

Key Responsibilities

Field Guide

Conduct professional, informative and engaging game drives and guided bush experiences

Ensure guests enjoy safe, memorable and personalised safari experiences

Share knowledge of wildlife, conservation and the surrounding ecosystem

Maintain guiding vehicles and equipment to a high standard

Build strong relationships with guests throughout their stay

Assist with general lodge operations where required

Lodge Anchor

Act as a warm and professional host throughout the guest journey

Assist with guest arrivals, departures and daily lodge communication

Support meal services, hosting and general front-of-house operations

Anticipate guest needs and ensure special requests and preferences are communicated

Liaise closely with housekeeping, kitchen, guiding and management teams

Assist with administrative and operational duties as required

Maintain the lodge's high standards of presentation and service

Requirements

Previous experience within a luxury safari lodge environment is essential

The Field Guide must hold relevant guiding qualifications, licences and permits

Strong knowledge of the South African bush, wildlife and conservation

Excellent communication and guest interaction skills

Warm, professional and confident personalities

Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail

Ability to work well within a close-knit lodge team

Flexible, hands-on approach to lodge operations

Comfortable living and working within a remote safari environment

Both candidates should be passionate about hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences

The couple should complement one another professionally and be looking for a long-term opportunity within the safari industry

Package

Salary: R20,000 – R24,000 per person, negotiable depending on experience

Accommodation: Live-in
