Assistant Lodge Manager / Ranger North West

Luxury 5* lodge accommodating upto 20 guests, in a National Park with Big 5, seeks an experienced game lodge manager with the following experience :-

• Hospitality qualification and / or Trails Guide qualification, accredited for Big 5 walking trails will be an advantage.
• Must have 2 years’ experience in a 5-star lodge environment as a senior hospitality manager.

DP and code 8 driver’s licence.

• Firearm competency and FGASA Advanced Rifle Handling (ARH) qualification, with current competency.
• Valid First Aid Certificate (Level 2 or higher preferred).
• NDT (National Department of Tourism) registered or CATHSSETA qualified.
• Maintenance exposure an advantage
• Proven previous experience guiding Big 5 walking safaris in a Big 5 reserve
• Duties include but not limited to:- Manage the Guest Experience, from first arrival to departure; Oversee lodge operations when on DM shifts or in absence of Lodge GM; Manage the capturing of Operational Equipment & stock; Processes weekly stock orders; manage the 10,20 and 30 day stock counts; Manage Maintenance Department, being responsible for Managing the energy usage and Lodge Solar Power plant; Conduct game drives and Big 5 walking safaris, as well as acting as Duty Ranger; Transporting staff and guests when required
