A prestigious luxury lodge in Pongola, Kwazulu-Natal is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join its dynamic hospitality team. The role offers the chance to lead and train a kitchen team, compile and implement menus, and ensure high standards of presentation and hygiene. French‑speaking candidates will be given preference, making this a unique opportunity for bilingual professionals in the hospitality industry. Job Requirements4–5 years’ previous Sous Chef experience in a big 4/5‑star lodge (essential)
French‑speaking skills preferred and advantageous
Strong management and training abilities
Cooking and hygiene qualifications beneficial
Menu compilation and implementation expertise
Ability to coordinate kitchen team with attention to detail and presentation
Stock ordering and staff rostering experience
Knowledge of dietary requirements
Skilled in creating and maintaining training manuals and control documents
Strong understanding of stock procedures and control
Knowledge of planning, budgeting, and departmental administration
Food Portfolio required with application Package
