Waiter – Award-Winning Fine Dining Restaurant – Stellenbosch
Our client is seeking an experienced and polished Waiter to join the service team at an award-winning luxury wine estate in Stellenbosch.
This opportunity is suited to a hospitality professional who understands fine dining service, attention to detail and personalised guest engagement and is comfortable serving a discerning local and international clientele.
Description:
Responsibilities include:
- Deliver professional table service to exceptional standards
- Welcome guests warmly and confidently
- Demonstrate excellent menu and beverage knowledge
- Take accurate food and beverage orders
- Provide informed recommendations and assist with wine selections
- Ensure correct table settings and presentation
- Communicate effectively with Kitchen, Bar and Front of House teams
- Anticipate guest requirements throughout service
- Maintain excellent restaurant presentation and cleanliness
- Follow established service procedures and SOPs
- Assist with opening, closing and side duties
- Handle guest requests professionally and discreetly
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Proven previous Waiter experience within a fine dining restaurant, luxury hotel, wine estate or comparable premium hospitality environment
- Good food and beverage knowledge
- Wine knowledge highly advantageous
- Excellent English communication skills
- Professional presentation and grooming
- Warm, confident and guest focused
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to work efficiently during demanding services
- Comfortable serving distinguished local and international guests
- Flexible to work shifts, evenings, weekends and public holidays
